British Heat Treatments at our East Kilbride location has developed its operation to be one of Scotland’s premier contract heat treatment facilities. The heat treatments use an array of salt-bath, gas-fired and other furnaces.

Overview

British Heat treatments are a premier service provider for various industrial sectors including oil & gas, power transmission, automotive and general engineering.

Structured operationally as an extremely reactive contract heat treatment provider, BHT has the capability to interact positively with clients processing requirements and related, ever-changing, delivery schedule requests.

BHT are proud to provide a rapid turnaround service resulting in the majority of the facility throughput being processed within 3 to 4 working days of receipt, this assists considerably in meeting with both clients urgent processing aspirations and their related JIT manufacturing schedules.

A complement of 12 modern, gas-fired, salt-bath, furnaces extending to 920mm diameter, 1480mm depth and with 1000kg capacity.

An in-house automatic bead-blasting and polishing capability.

A fully equipped testing Laboratory to verify full compliance with clients’ specifications.

Membership of the Contract Heat Treatment Association which, combined with management expertise, enables appropriate processing guidance to be sourced and secured, if required, on the technical appraisal of any heat treatment enquiry.
