Considerable experience gained over the preceding four decades in servicing the North Sea and the global oil and gas sector has enabled AJT Engineering’s Mechanical Fitting section to provide an unrivalled service in the assembly, disassembly, repair, refurbishment and pressure testing of a wide range of onshore and offshore oil exploration and production equipment from anchor windlasses to surface and subsea Blowout Preventers.
The Company has alliances with the Original Equipment Manufacturers to operate under either “License”, “Agreement” or “Authorisation” categorisations, enabling equipment refurbishment to be conducted in full compliance with OEM standards and specifications.
Full pressure testing facilities on site include test bays providing remote witness of hydrostatic test sequences to 25,000 psi as is the requisite in-house availability of test flanges, hubs and clamps. Hydraulic test units with accumulator back-up, calibrated test gauges and chart recorders and hydraulic torque equipment. These ensure that the specific requirements for full verification of refurbished equipment in compliance with the Oilfield Equipment Manufacturers’, the Certifying Authorities’, the equipment owners’ and the relevant industry Standards and Specifications are maintained.
