AJT Engineering’s comprehensive machine shop capability includes a wide diversity of machine tooling from conventional to full CNC enabling machining requirements to be conducted efficiently and economically using the most appropriate resources.
Substantial and ongoing investment in the continual upgrading of machining capability within the facility is demonstrated through the recent installation and commissioning of a diverse range of new plant including, an SMTC CNC floor-type Horizontal Borer with horizontal/vertical traverses of 4000mms and 2500mms respectively and complete with CNC Rotary Table with 2000mms traverse and 10 tonne load capacity, a retrofitted CNC Webster & Bennett Series S Vertical Borer with maximum turning diameter of 2000mms and fitted with a Fanuc 0iT-B control system and CAPTO C6 tool changer and, most recently, a Hyundai KIA KBN 135CL Horizontal Boring and Milling Centre with traverses of 4000mms and 2000mms, a 20,000kgs table capacity, 60 position tool changer and Fanuc 31iM control system.

A well-equipped Toolroom, staffed by experienced technical personnel, supports the machine shop through the preparation of special tooling requirements. This additional capability, complemented by investment in sophisticated tooling technology and operator training and development ensures the successful execution of projects, fully in compliance with Clients’ standards.
